Editorial policy
KYOTOEIC is an independent entertainment project inspired by internet memes about indirect speech in Kyoto.
Updated:
Fiction and evidence
The scenes are fictional. We distinguish internet memes, documented regional language and general Japanese. Interpretations rely on actions and context within a scene, not on a character's birthplace.
Sources
Language and cultural notes prioritize original material from public institutions, university teaching resources and research. We record the access date and scope, including when only an abstract, catalogue record or part of a paywalled article was available. Social posts are used only as examples of memes.
AI and review status
We use AI for writing and editing. With the operator’s authorization, content checked by AI for wording, translation and supporting evidence may be published with an AI review label. AI review, operator review and native-speaker review are recorded separately, with the reviewer and date. Independent native-speaker or expert review has not been completed. Empty articles and drafts containing unverified personal experiences remain unpublished.
Corrections and records
Let us know about errors through the contact page. When we change a question, translation, answer or difficulty, we save a new version and keep the previous one. Submitted results and issued records stay as they were.
