Your DAY 1 can be today
DAY counts scenes you have completed, not days since registration. Your first play is DAY 1 even if another player has reached DAY 100. You do not have to skip the beginning of your journey to catch up with a global calendar.
YEAR 1 contains 365 base scenes and calendar editions. Selection considers your progress, encounters with each NPC, recent scenes, season and weekday. Players therefore do not necessarily receive the same scene on the same date. Friend challenges compare your separate outcomes rather than scores on an identical question.
One confirmed decision, a diary that survives failure
A new day starts at midnight in Kyoto, Japan Standard Time. This applies wherever you play. A day is recorded only when you confirm a reply; a visit alone adds nothing. Return on the same day and you can see the result already recorded.
Success continues a streak. A failure or a missed day ends the current streak, but your total days and best streak remain. 'Social death' is a lighthearted game ending, not a judgment about you.
For example, succeed on your first Monday and again on Tuesday: you reach DAY 2 with a two-day streak. Skip Wednesday, then succeed on Thursday: you reach DAY 3 with a current streak of one and a best streak of two. All these dates use JST. Taking a day off does not erase the diary you have already written.
Familiar faces and the Alley Notebook
One successful reply does not instantly make an NPC your close friend. Relationship stages reflect completed encounters and personal progress. The collection records types of unsuccessful scenes, while monthly reports summarize actual play. When there is too little data for a useful comparison, the notebook says so.
Achievements recognize milestones such as a first play, total days and streaks. Sunday's scene gets a special presentation; it does not give an extra decision or bonus answer. Share cards focus on your DAY and game statistics without publishing your private diary.
Keep the key to your guest diary
Guest records are stored on the server, but a cookie in this browser is your key to them. Clearing it or using another device will not automatically reconnect you to the same diary.
Optional Google sign-in connects Survival records to an account so you can find them on another device. If the account already has a diary, review the merge information and overlapping dates in your profile before deciding. The same date is not counted twice. Signing out is not deletion. Removing an account and diary requires a separate confirmation in the profile.
While you wait for the next scene
Once you confirm today's reply, the next scene becomes available after midnight in Kyoto. If you would like to try more before then, choose different replies in public practice and compare their explanations. Practice does not change your Survival DAY or streak.
